West Point Graduation Week 2010
The U.S. Military Academy is graduating and commissioning 1,002 members of the Class of 2010 May 22, 210. President Barack Obama is the graduation speaker.

Two brand new second lieutenants from the U.S. Military Academy Class of 2010 congratulate each other after receiving their diplomas during graduation ceremony in Michie Stadium on Graduation Day May 22 at West Point, N.Y. One thousand and two cadets received their Bachelor of Science degrees and entered into the "Long Gray Line." President Barack Obama was the graduation speaker.
 
    Barack Obama, President of the United States, congratulates Cadet Elizabeth Betterbed, the top cadet in the Class of 2010 and a Rhodes Scholar, during the graduation ceremonys in Michie Stadium on Graduation Day May 22 at West Point, N.Y. Betterbed, from Fox Island, Wash., was a four-year member of the Women's Soccer team. She, along with Cadet Alexandra Rosenberg, of New York, N.Y., who was the class valedictorian, entered into academy history when they became the first two females to earn the top two spots in the class.
 
 
   The underclassmen of the U.S. Military Academy await the march on of the Class of 2010 into Michie Stadium on Graduation Day May 22 at West Point, N.Y. There are 1,002 cadets who are expected to receive their diplomas. Among them are 14 International cadets, 135 women, 54 African-Americans, 70 Asian/Pacific Islanders, 68 Hispanics and six Native Americans. There are 151 members of the class who attended the U.S. Military Academy Preparatory School, Fort Monmouth, N.J., (128 men and 23 women).
 
 
  The Commandant, Dean and Superintendent applaud "the goat," Jeremy Jonas, who, as the cadet with th elowest class standing, received $1 from each of his classmates.

    Col. Rickie McPeak reads an email to members of the Army Lacrosse team before the Bar Pinning ceremony in the Foley Center on May 22. The e-mail was sent from West Point Graduates that are currently deployed. The members of the team, who just a scant few minutes earlier graduated from the academy, were commissioned 2nd Lieutenants in the Army. Following the ceremony the team boarded buses and headed to Stony Brook for its NCAA Quarterfinal game with Cornell on Sunday.
